Starnberger See
My last post on Munich! It was my last day there and I was going to catch the plane in the evening to go back to London for another week. Lufthansa is fantastic I have to say and I love the e-ticketing service. Fast and so damn convenient, instead of waiting in a long line to reach the check in counter.
Since it was our last day together, Joyce and Heiko decided to bring us to Starnberger See, this wonderful, huge lake from which you can actually see the Alps. We took a train there and many were heading to the lake as well, just like us. The weather again was gorgeous! Sun was just shining away and the air was cool. Bliss!
The lake was amazing! The only lake I had seen so far in the past three years I had been in Kyoto was the Biwa Lake which is so damn huge, that it look like the sea at some parts.
Yup! I saw the Alps! It was far and tiny from where I stood and I had to squint my eyes before I saw it but saw it I did! We had fun, having a nice picnic lunch on the greens and just chatting and enjoying our last moments together. Oh boy, I do miss it. But we will see each other again in December! I can't wait!!
