Kids at Gion Matsuri

I have loads of pictures of the Gion Matsuri taken last year when I was squashed and pushed by so many people and get this, most of them are of middle age and above! Would have expected this kind of behaviour from the younger set but they definately cannot compete with the aunties and uncles that attended the Gion Matsuri last year! It got so bad that the policemen had to shout at us to behave ourselves but, as expected, no one bothered. No more going to Gion this year. Lesson learnt.



Anyway, this is a picture I had taken of the kids at the Gion Matsuri Festival at night. It was a night picture but as I did not have any tripod on me that night and no place to steady my camera, I had to take this picture without the night view mode and the flash. So the quality was not good. But I liked the picture so I decided to fiddle with photoshop to try and come up with something. Hmmm...definately need a lot more fiddling with the photoshop. But it looks like some old photo you find printed in the newspapers of yesteryears right? With all the noise and everything. Say yes! That was the look I was going for! Hahah
